Privacy Policy

Who is responsible for your data, what MinRix collects on the website and in the app, why, for how long, who receives it and what your rights are.

// 01

1. Who is responsible

The company responsible for your personal data ("controller") is:

MinRix LLC
Business Center 1, Al-Meydan Road, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
E-mail: privacy@minrix.com · Phone: +971 58 693 3134

MinRix sells industrial raw materials and IoT devices directly to businesses, including businesses in the European Union. We therefore apply the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, for people in the EU/EEA, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

// 02

2. What we collect on the website

  • Requests (quote request, contact, demo, call back, video call, consulting, market analysis, training, "Notify me"): the details you enter — e.g. name, company, job title, e-mail, phone, country, material, grade, quantity, destination port, message — and the reference number we give your request.
  • Job applications: name, e-mail, phone, LinkedIn/portfolio link, cover note and the CV you attach.
  • Newsletter and notice lists (newsletter, app launch notice, training updates): your e-mail address and the date you confirmed by the link in our e-mail.
  • Messages you send us by e-mail, WhatsApp or phone.
  • Technical data: the server logs of our host (IP address, time, page, browser). To stop spam, our form handler keeps a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address — and, to limit confirmation e-mails, of your e-mail address — for at most one day; your IP address is not sent with your request.
  • Statistics: daily totals only, no personal data (see the Cookie Policy).

The website takes no payments and stores no payment data.

4. Who receives your data

Inside MinRix, only the people who handle your request. Outside MinRix, only these service providers, and only as far as needed:

  • Hostinger — website hosting and MinRix e-mail.
  • Render (app server) and MongoDB Atlas (database, EU region) — the MinRix app and the copy of website requests in our sales system.
  • E-mail and WhatsApp delivery services — to alert our sales team about new requests and to send confirmations.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you contact us on WhatsApp.
  • Inspection, logistics and banking partners — only for a contract with you, e.g. an inspection company or the banks of a letter of credit.
  • Authorities — only where the law requires it.

For the app, see section 8 (Apple/Google sign-in, push services, Sentry crash reports).

// 05

5. International transfers

MinRix LLC is based in the UAE, and some of our providers process data in other countries. When you are in the EU/EEA and send us a request, transferring your data to us is necessary to answer it or to prepare and perform a contract with you (Art. 49(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). Where a provider offers additional safeguards, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses, we use them.

// 06

6. How we protect your data

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) and strict security settings on the website.
  • Access limited to the people who need it; form data goes only to MinRix mailboxes.
  • Spam protection without tracking; as little data as possible.
  • Website requests in our sales system are deleted automatically after 90 days unless business follows.
// 07

7. Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, a copy of it, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw your consent at any time — for the newsletter with the unsubscribe link in every e-mail. Write to privacy@minrix.com; we reply within one month.

You may also complain to a data protection authority: in the EU/EEA the authority in your country, in the UAE the UAE Data Office.

8. Using the MinRix App

This section explains how the policy above applies to the MinRix mobile app.

  • Account: we store your name, e-mail, company and (if you add them) job title, phone number and country to run your account. Edit them anytime in Profile → Edit profile.
  • Sign in with Apple or Google: we receive your name, e-mail and an account identifier from Apple or Google. For Sign in with Apple we also keep a token that lets us remove MinRix from your Apple ID when you delete your account.
  • Password reset and e-mail confirmation: we e-mail you a 6-digit code that expires after 15 minutes. Only a scrambled (hashed) form of the code is stored.
  • Requests: when you send a request for quote, material inquiry, demo booking or service request, the details and your contact information are sent to the MinRix sales team by e-mail and WhatsApp so we can answer you, and you receive a confirmation e-mail.
  • Sign-in: your login token is stored in your phone’s secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android encrypted storage). Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes.
  • Push notifications: only if you allow them. Your phone’s push token is stored with your account so we can notify you about firm quotes, replies, price alerts and demo bookings. Messages are delivered through Expo’s push service and Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging. Switch them off anytime in Profile or in your phone settings; signing out removes the token.
  • Usage statistics: only if you say yes (asked once; change anytime in Profile). The app then sends anonymous events to MinRix’s own server — which screens are opened and steps such as viewing a material or sending a request — with a random app ID, the platform and the app version. No name, e-mail, phone number, typed text or advertising ID is included, nothing is shared with third parties, and the data is deleted after 13 months. Saying no deletes the statistics already sent from your phone.
  • Demo bookings: the chosen time, format and your notes are stored with your booking so we can run and confirm the demo.
  • Crash reports: if the app crashes, a technical error report (app version, device model, operating system and the error) is sent to our error-tracking service Sentry so we can fix it. It contains no name, e-mail, typed text or location and is not linked to your account.
  • Delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. Your personal data is erased; records of past orders and quotes are kept without your name or contact details where we must keep them for accounting.
  • Get a copy of your data at any time: Profile → Edit profile → Download my data.
  • No payments are made in the app. Offers, contracts and invoices are handled directly between you and MinRix.
  • The app does not sell your data and does not show third-party advertising.
